Meeting was held at the VFW in Hyde Park and started at 7:10 on February 12th (a week late due to the storm the week prior). There were 6 members and 4 officers.
Secretaries report was read and accepted and Donnie will find out about the question on the Harley Raffle totals for the Treasures report.
Elections: Donnie was thanked for his service and contributions to the group as he stepped down from President. The following officers were voted in: Holly Wilkins– President, Jason Renault– VP, Clarence Wheeler– Treasurer, Gabrielle Renault– Secretary and Joe Wilkins– Sergeant at Arms. One vote was given by the secretary.
Harley Raffle: It was discussed that we would wait to see what kind of deal we could get on a bigger bike next year to decide what to get. There seemed to be support for a higher ticket price for a larger bike at the raffle. The Men’s auxiliary offered to do spaghetti/salad/rolls for $3500 for 250 head– we will wait a few months and contact Texas Roadhouse too– see what they offer. Everyone liked Noman and Mike motioned, Casey 2nd to ask back for next year. Gabrielle will contact to ask for price and interest.
Toy Run: Mike said still to early to do too much. Will discuss food vendors next month. Shaun still working on t-shirt options from the hospital. Letters were delivered to local schools asking for support.
Scholarships: Not much to discuss, waiting for them to be returned from schools.
Bikers Rally Against Cancer (BRAC): Joe and Holly attended meeting, they will have a pick truck at the state house to lead bikes back to field days. We will advertise as part of our toy run stuff. Discussed possible booth at Field Days in July shared by UMV & BRAC.
