About UMV

United Motorcyclists of Vermont Is A 501 (c) (4)

501(c)(4) organizations are generally civic leagues and other corporations operated exclusively for the promotion of social welfare, or local associations of employees with membership limited to a designated company or people in a particular municipality or neighborhood, and with net earnings devoted exclusively to charitable, educational, or recreational purposes. Unlike 501(c)(3) organizations, 501(c) (4) organizations may lobby for legislation; they may also participate in political campaigns and elections, as long as campaigning is not the organization’s primary purpose.

So we can still say “Helmet Laws $uck Money from Vermont!” Because it’s the truth, it’s not our sole issue and we’re not paying anyone else to say it.

Shhh, there's going to be a surprise party for Margie at the VFW in Hyde Park, VT on Saturday, November 4, 2017. It's from 4pm to 7pm and there is a dance at the VFW afterwards if you want to hang around. Please RSVP, not going to post the phone numbers here but if you know Jodi or Torrie give them a call by the 20th. Or post it here and we'll let them know. Margie's been an active, very active, member of UMV since the beginning. Come out and wish her a happy birthday. And remember, it's a surprise.
