About United Motorcyclists of Vermont - UMV

United Motorcyclists of Vermont - Dedicated to Motorcycle Safety, Motorcycle Education, Pro-Motorcyclist Legislation & Individual Freedom.

United Motorcyclists of Vermont United Motorcyclists of Vermont (UMV) is a Vermont, State Level Motorcycle Rights Organization, an SMRO or MRO for short. We are located in the state of Vermont in the U.S. and focus our attention on state and regional motorcycle related issues. A lot of our members are also part of The Motorcycle Riders Foundation, a National Motorcycle Rights Organization.

United Motorcyclists of Vermont through its charity work, scholarship program, motorcycle awareness and safety promotion and through "peaceful discourse" with our legislators works to improve the image of bikers and to protect motorcyclists rights.

United Motorcyclists of Vermont as a motorcycle organization is devoted to promoting motorcycle safety and protecting motorcyclists' rights. U.M.V. is both a political and charitable motorcycle organization. We hold several motorcycle related functions throughout the year. United Motorcyclists of Vermont's main events are our Harley Davidson Motorcycle Raffle (2nd Saturday of January) and our Annual Motorcycle Toy Run (2nd Saturday in August) - the largest and oldest motorcycle event in Vermont. 2006 was our 20th Annual Motorcycle Toy Run to benefit children in Shriners' Hospitals. Our Annual Poker Run (1st Saturday in June) is open to all vehicles - motorcycles, cars, trucks, sports cars, classic cars, etc. to help promote interaction between different Vermont organizations.

We support causes such as Shriners Hospital for Children and our own United Motorcyclists of Vermont Scholarship Fund. We are a legislative watch dog for issues which might affect Vermont motorcyclists and all issues concerning personal freedom. We also promote interaction between our members with social events and group Vermont motorcycle rides.
